Helen Marie Madsen Burn 2/11/1917 ~ 1/12/2011

Died in San Antonio, Texas, born and raised in Salt Lake City, fifth of six children (Thelma, Earl, Hazel, Edwin, Helen, Robert), and last survivor of Danish Immigrants, Samuel Soren Gjesing Hansen Madsen and Jennie Sorensen Lund Madsen. Married CPT William R. Burn (World War II; KIA-Korea); four children: William, Diane, Michael, Markel.Helen and Bill were Pearl Harbor survivors (Bill was stationed at Schofield Barracks). Retired from Mountain Bell Telephone to a life of gardening, ceramics, and world travels. Helen leaves her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great -great grandchildren, and extended family. Preceded in death by one grandchild (Catrina Burn) and companion, Art Moore. Funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m., January 19, 2011 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive (1450 E.), Salt Lake City, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to services.
