Maxine Lund Breinholt 1926 ~ 2010
Maxine Lund Breinholt, 84, passed away December 27, 2010 in Draper, Utah. Born March 12, 1926 to Alfred Terry Lund and Nora Crystal Hall Lund, at the home of her grandparents in Hurricane, Utah. Married Harvey C. Breinholt June 10, 1949, in the St. George Temple. Her happy growing up years were spent in Paragonah, Utah. Attended School in Parowan Utah, and College at BAC (now SUU) in Cedar City, where she served as Student Body President. Served an LDS mission to the Northwestern States. Employed for 20 years as a teaching assistant, Roosevelt Elementary School, Granite School District. She loved to sew, quilt, garden, can fruits and vegetables, and tend her lovely flower gardens. Enjoyed traveling the world, collected bells from each destination. Member of the LDS church, faithfully served as a leader and as a teacher of children and adults. Lifelong student of the Scriptures. Her life was dedicated to serving others: her parents, family, friends, church members, and her community. Attended Wandamere Camp of DUP, loved to write pioneer histories. The greatest joy in her life was becoming a mother after many years of marriage. Her grandchildren were the icing on the cake and the great-grandchildren brought pure delight. Survived by children, Patty (Greg) Swenson and Tracy John (Mary) Breinholt; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and Lloyd Lund her brother. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at the Wandamere Ward, 2700 South 300 East, South Salt Lake. There will be a viewing Wednesday, December 29 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 3401 S. Highland Drive from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday at the Church 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens.
