SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Environmental Quality has issued a red air quality alert for Salt Lake, Davis and Weber Counties and a yellow air quality action condition for Utah, Box Elder and Tooele Counties for Thursday.

The Bear River District Health Department has issued a red condition for Cache County.

Air quality conditions and health statements are as follows:

SALT LAKE/DAVIS Counties: Air Quality Condition: RED; Woodburn Forecast: Red; Health Advisory: Sensitive people (those with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, and children) should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

UTAH County: Air Quality Condition: YELLOW; Woodburn Forecast: Yellow; Health advisory: none

WEBER County: Air Quality Condition: RED; Woodburn Forecast: Red; Health Advisory: Sensitive people (those with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, and children) should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

BOX ELDER County: Air Quality Condition: YELLOW; Woodburn Forecast: Yellow; Health advisory: none

CACHE County: Air Quality Condition: RED; Woodburn Forecast: Red; Health Advisory: Sensitive people (those with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, and children) should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

TOOELE County: Air Quality Condition: YELLOW; Woodburn Forecast: Yellow; Health advisory: none
