MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Bruins escaped with a four point win over the Mustangs of Western Wyoming. Salt Lake dominated in every offensive category but a late run by the Mustangs kept it close. The Bruins keep their record clean with four wins and no losses.
Salt Lake's height proved to be the difference maker as the Bruins controlled the boards out rebounding the Mustangs 47-26. Alfonzo Hubbard finished with a double double scoring 15 and collecting 11 rebounds. Pat McCollum and Given Kalipinde both added 16 points apiece while Charles Joseph came off the bench to score 14.
The Bruins (4-0) will host Hill Air Force Base and Mesa College this weekend during the annual SLCC Tournament. Salt Lake will take on Air Force Friday at 7:30 pm and then on Saturday verses Mesa College at 5 pm.
