Dave Sauer, left, and other Army veterans stand as sixth-grade students at Woodstock Elementary School host their annual Veterans Day celebration Tuesday. Above, a Marine veteran listens to the program. Students at the school have researched, reported on and befriended local veterans. The project culminated Tuesday in an evening of dinner, music and speeches, as students expressed thanks to the community's veterans.
