ST. GEORGE — A sting netted the Wednesday arrests of eight men who police say were patronizing prostitutes in the city.
Officers set up a vice operation prompted by information they had received about the illicit activity.
St. George police officer Johnny Heppler said the adult males arranged for sexual acts in exchange for money. All were booked into the Washington County Jail for investigation of misdemeanor allegations of patronizing a prostitute.
The arrests follow other prostitution stings conducted in St. George this year, including the March arrest of six men accused of solicitation and the June arrest of two women police say were engaging in prostitution.
