SALT LAKE CITY — Rookie forward Jeremy Evans didn't take part in any contact drills during practice Tuesday, leaving his availability status for tonight's game against Toronto uncertain.
Evans sprained his right wrist in the first half of Sunday night's win at Oklahoma City, and did not play in the second half.
Two days after getting hurt, he said he got "tangled up" but still didn't know precisely when or how he got hurt.
"I'm not really sure myself," Evans said. "I was like, 'What's wrong?' "
X-rays of the wrist were negative, though there was never any fear on Evans' part that he had broken it. And by Tuesday, he sensed improvement.
"It feels a lot better," Evans said, "because the first night it was hurting really bad."
The Jazz continue to call Evans "day-to-day." He stretched and ran Tuesday, but that was the extent of his participation in the practice.
