MURRAY — The Humane Society of Utah will sponsor its third annual "Picture Your Pet with Santa" event on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 6-7 and on Nov. 13-14.
Animal lovers can bring their favorite pets of all kinds to the HSU shelter, 4242 S. 300 West, to have their photos taken. A professional photographer offers a variety of packages, including Christmas cards with pet photos.
The cost is $28 for two 5x7 color portraits. Other packages are also available. All vaccinations must be current, and pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
In years past, Santa has snuggled in front of the camera with iguanas, cockatoos, rats and even llamas, as well as a wide assortment of cats and dogs.
Appointments can be made, but walk-ins are also welcome. For more information, call Carrie Glavin, 801-26l-2919, ext. 207, or go to www.utahhumane.org.
