At one point this fall, the Delta Rabbits were 0-4.

It had been tough, tough sledding for them, and many around the state wondered about how they would respond the rest of the way.

To their credit, the Rabbits came storming back to life.

On the heels of four consecutive losses to four really good teams, Delta got going in Week 5 and hasn't looked back.

The Rabbits have won their last six games, including all five of their Region 12 contests, and they enter the postseason full of hope, believing they have what it takes to follow in the tradition of Delta football and make noise in the postseason.

Their first chance to show what they can do will come against ALA in the first round of the 3A tournament, starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

After losing in order to Westlake, Hurricane, Park City and South Summit, Delta finally got its first win of the 2010 season against Stansbury in Week 5. The Rabbits nabbed a close win over Manti the following week, 24-21, and they have simply picked up steam with each passing week.

Offensively, QB Colin Christensen has been a huge part of Delta's success. The leader of the Rabbits' triple-option offense, Christensen has accounted for lots of touchdowns on the ground and in the air. He has scored nine TDs on the ground this fall and has added six more through the air.

Offensively, he's had plenty of help from Delta's running backs.

Hadley Myers (nine TDs), Zach Harris and Kaydon Hughes have all picked up the load this fall, and they all present problems for opposing defenses.

They'll look to get going on Friday against an ALA bunch that qualified for the postseason by beating Carbon back in Week 8.
