CODY GROLL, Rich, football

Had a monster game in leading the Rebels to a regular-season ending 51-7 victory over Layton Christian.

The senior had a huge day, finishing with two offensive touchdowns, two special teams touchdowns and 375 all-purpose yards.

Groll carried the ball six times for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown.

"He's played really well the last few weeks and we expect him to continue," said Rich coach Ashley Brown.

Groll has 695 yards rushing and six TDs this year.

JESSIKA LONG, Juan Diego, volleyball

Hard work defines Juan Diego's sophomore setter Jessika Long.

"She never gives up on a ball," said head coach Miriam Nellermoe. "She's a fighter. She is willing to challenge anybody."

Whether it's sit ups, sprints or any other drill, the honor student works to finish first. Her effort has led the Soaring Eagle to a second-place finish in Region 11. She has earned 633 assists and 72 aces this season making her the team's best server.

"She sets the pace for us," said Nellermoe. "She's our quarterback on the volleyball court. She is a classy lady on and off the court, very humble. She's a great representative of the school, our team and the Lord."
