WEST VALLEY CITY — A 44-year-old woman was killed in a rollover on state Route 201 Thursday morning.
Asena Naeata of West Valley was ejected from her vehicle and killed at about 9:20 a.m.
The accident happened in the eastbound lanes near 2700 West. Naeata lost control of her SUV and went off the left shoulder into the emergency lane for an unknown reason, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Todd Johnson. She tried to veer back onto the road but overcorrected, rolled and was vaulted into the air. An eastbound semitrailer also hit the SUV after it re-entered the road.
Naeata was declared dead at the scene.
