WELLSVILLE, Cache County — Flames engulfed a Wellsville home Saturday night, rendering it a complete loss, fire officials said.
Around 7:30 p.m., firefighters from several Cache County fire departments were called out to 440 N. 750 West, but by the time they arrived at the home, it was already up in flames, officials said.
Tom Leishman, the homeowner, suspected the fire was started by his gas grill, and fire officials said it appeared after they extinguished the fire that it may have started due to bad valve on the grill. Leishman was treated and released on scene, but his wife, Maggie, was transported to the Logan Regional Hospital for smoke inhalation.
At 10 p.m. Saturday, officials said it appeared the house was a complete loss.
