WEST VALLEY CITY — Officers are searching for a man armed with a screwdriver believed to have robbed a KFC-Taco Bell location in West Valley Wednesday night.
The man, described to be about 18-20 years old, entered the KFC-Taco bell, near 2400 S. Redwood Road, about 9:20 p.m., and hopped over the counter to threaten the cashier with a screwdriver.
Police say he demanded all the money in the till but became frustrated when the woman couldn't open it and fled the fast-food restaurant.
No one was injured but there were two customers inside the restaurant at the time. Witnesses said the man was wearing a grey hoodie, with a white bandana over his face and was wearing blue jeans. Police say the man they are looking for also has a "pretty significant scar" under one of his eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact dispatchers at 801-840-4000.
