Thanks to all of you Good Samaritans out there. On Saturday about 1 p.m., at 900 East and Winchester, I was involved in a single bicycle accident. The details are fuzzy and I'm sure quite embarrassing. But I was attended to by a handful of angels. I've been on both sides of similar incidents and it is interesting how the urgency of the moment allows and requires an immediate reordering of priorities. The planned appointment or task is temporarily put in perspective and takes backseat to what is at hand. I don't know your names and I wouldn't remember your faces. But you stopped to help a stranger, a brother, and a neighbor. Thank you. I didn't want this kind act to go by without acknowledging it and expressing my heartfelt appreciation. And to all the motorists who were inconvenienced, please forgive my folly.
