PROVO — A BYU nursing professor has been honored with a national award thanks to her research of postpartum depression.
Lynn Clark Callister, who teaches in BYU's School of Nursing, was recently awarded the March of Dimes "Saving Babies, Together" award from The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses during a ceremony in Las Vegas.
The award, supported by an educational grant from the March of Dimes, is given every year to an investigator whose research focuses on the health of women and newborns.
Callister has studied the impact of postpartum depression among disadvantaged Hispanic women, as well as the barriers to accessing necessary care, according to BYU, and has published numerous papers related to global health and nursing.
