REGION 1
NORTHRIDGE 63, ROY 6: Northridge scored 28 first-quarter points en route to the blowout win over Roy. Jordan Lee ran the ball 9 times for 90 yards and accounted for four scores two on the ground and two receiving in the win. Trent Buckley completed 12-of-14 passes for 223 yards and three scores for the Knights, while Matt Hunsaker returned a pick 35 yards for a score in the route.
FREMONT 24, VIEWMONT 7: Aaron Van Woerkom completed 15-of-23 passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns to lead Fremont to an easy victory over Viewmont to improve to 7-0 in region play and 7-1 overall. Brock Smith, Luke Hollingsworth and Tate Lewis all hauled in TD receptions as Fremont built a 21-0 halftime lead.
SYRACUSE 31, WEBER 0: Tyler Jacobsen tossed a 50-yard TD and rushed for two more scores as Syracuse blanked Weber for the big win. Zach Ericksen was 4-for-4 on extra points and booted a field goal in the win as the Titans improved to 4-3 in league play.
LAYTON 41, CLEARFIELD 10: Layton ran for 202 yards as a team and scored five rushing touchdowns, two each by Derek Thomas and Grant Walker, in the win. Clearfield had four costly turnovers in the second half, including an interception that was returned for a TD.
REGION 2
COTTONWOOD 46, HUNTER 9: Nadan Hosea rushed the ball 12 times for 113 yards and three TDs as Cottonwood rolled to the league victory to all but clinch the Region 2 champions. The Colts' James Washington and Sione Folaumoeloa each scored defensive touchdowns early in the second quarter to help Cottonwood built a 36-0 lead at one point in the game.
CYPRUS 28, GRANGER 27: Jazz White put Cyprus ahead with a 58-yard score with three minutes left, then James Williams sealed the victory for the Pirates with an interception in the end zone. Williams and White scored two TDs each, while Jordan Hernandez had three scores in the loss.
WEST 43, MURRAY 20: Eric Takenaka rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, while Anetipa Vaisagano had 24 carries for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns as West defeated Murray for the win.
REGION 3
HERRIMAN 12, COPPER HILLS 7: Copper Hills remained winless as Herriman triumphed in Region 3 play. A late safety put the game away for the Mustangs.
