A Payson teenage driver lost control of his car and smashed through four yards and several fences before coming to rest on rocks.
PAYSON — A Payson teen was cited for reckless driving after police say he drove his car through four backyards, leaving several smashed fences in his wake.
The teen was driving with another juvenile on Main Street between 1400 and 1500 South when, Payson police say, he lost control and crashed through several backyards about 11:30 a.m TuesdayDamaged
"He didn't turn on the road but just went straight through a backyard, and continued through another three backyards," Payson Police Lt. Bill Wright said.
When police arrived, the teen was attempting to flee but was detained and cited for reckless driving. Police say there was a "substantial" amount of damage with all of the backyards ripped up by the car.
