SALT LAKE CITY — Ascension Insurance, Inc., of Kansas City, Mo., has acquired Summit America Insurance, which is located both in Overland Park, Kansas and Salt Lake City.
Ascension, which has 32 offices in the United States, plans to build a national network of risk management, insurance and employee benefit companies.
Summit America specializes in insurance risks for colleges and various sports and recreational groups.
Violinist retires
Frances Darger, a violinist of 69 years with the Utah Symphony, is set to retire this summer.
