MACK, Colorado — A Colorado man died in a rollover on I-70 in Utah as he neared the border with Colorado on Sunday.
The Dustin Donald Thompson, 39, of Windsor, Colo., was a passenger in a pick-up truck driven by his 26-year-old sister, who's also from Colorado.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers say one of the front tires blew out just two miles from the Utah-Colorado border and the driver lost control of the vehicle, sending it into the median where it rolled.
Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3 p.m. accident.
The victim's sister was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., with serious head and neck injuries.
