Bayou is a 3-year-old pit bull mix. He has been at the shelter since Aug. 1. This big guy is calm, social and appears to be housebroken. He also loves to play outside but will do so gently and will come when he is called. He also appears to get along well with other dogs, but we do encourage that if you have another canine member of the family, that you bring them down to meet Bayou first. His adoption fee includes Canine Good Citizen training at no extra charge.
Breezy is a 5-year-old domestic longhaired cat. She has been at the shelter for nearly six months. This beauty is a very calm and gentle cat who loves to be near people but would probably do best in a low-key home that will give her proper time to adjust as she has been at the shelter for so long. She also gets along great with other cats. Because she does have long hair, her new family will want to plan on brushing her daily and she will also need the occasional trip to the groomer.
Those interested in adopting a pet can visit Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South, Salt Lake City, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday; call 801-559-1100 or visit www.slcoanimalservices.org.
