WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Former Utah kicker/punter Louie Sakoda was released by the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Wednesday. He was signed by the team after getting cut by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in August.
Sakoda, however, pulled a calf muscle shortly thereafter and never played a single game for Winnipeg. He practiced for the first time last week.
