WOODS CROSS — The Davis County Library will host children's author-illustrator Jan Brett at an event at Woods Cross High School in October.
Brett has illustrated and retold classics such as "The Night Before Christmas," "The Twelve Days of Christmas," "Beauty and the Beast," "Town Mouse Country Mouse" and "The Mitten." She has written and illustrated "The Hat," "Hedgie's Surprise" and, earlier this year, "The Easter Egg."
Brett will discuss her career as a children's author and illustrator and present her new book, "The 3 Little Dassies," Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Woods Cross High School is located at 600 W. 2200 South.
The event is free, and adults, teens and children are invited to attend.
After the program, Brett will sign books and visit with residents. The King's English bookstore will provide books for sale at the event.
