MEN'S AND WOMEN'S GOLF: The teams open the 2010 fall season by playing host to the first Frontier Conference event of the season. The tournament will be played on Monday and Tuesday at Mountain Dell Golf Course in Salt Lake City. The tournament will be played on the 6,787 yard canyon course which is a par 72.

The three-round event will feature the first two rounds being played on Monday with the final round on Tuesday. Each team will count the top four scores from each five member team. Along with Westminster, teams from Lewis-Clark State, Carroll, Rocky Mountain, Montana Western, Great Falls and Montana Tech will be competing in the men's event. The women's event will feature Carroll, Great Falls, Lewis-Clark State, MSU-Northern, Montana Tech, Montana Western, Rocky Mountain and Westminster.

VOLLEYBALL: The Griffins will take to the road for two Frontier Conference matches this week. The 20th-ranked Griffins will begin conference action at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. on Thursday. On Saturday the Griffins visit Carroll College in Helena to complete the trip.

Westminster heads north with a 4-4 record through the first two weeks of the season. They went 2-2 at the Asics/Crown Plaza Labor Day Tournament last weekend losing both Friday matches against No. 1 Fresno Pacific and No. 2 Concordia (Calif.). The Griffins responded with wins over then No. 6 Biola and Westmont to complete the weekend.

Westminster is currently averaging 12 kills per set while hitting .199.

The Griffins have racked up 45 service aces and average 1.5 per set. Defensively they collect 13.8 digs and two blocks per set. As a team, Westminster has totaled 40 or more kills in five of the eight matches this season. They also have five matches with at least 60 digs.

Clotile Harris leads the team with 111 kills and she averages 4.44 per set. The freshman outside hitter is hitting .265 this season to go with her six service aces. Stephanie Jones leads the team with her .279 hitting efficiency and Katie Vance has a team-best 29 blocks. Freshman libero Kyndall Kordakis leads the squad with 114 digs.

MEN'S SOCCER: The Griffins conclude their season-opening seven-game home stand with three games this weekend. The 17th-ranked Griffins face Point Loma Nazarene on Friday and then face Sterling College on Saturday. The home stand concludes on Sunday against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.). All games will be played at Dumke Field on the campus of Westminster College.
