BYU football: By the numbers

Player of the Game

BYU running back J.J. DiLuigi rushed for 69 yards and caught four passes for 83 yards and a touchdown -- a 48-yarder from Riley Nelson late in the third quarter that ended up being the game-winning score.

X Factor

With a little less than two minutes remaining in the game, defensive lineman Eathyn Manumaleuna, famous for his blocked kick against UCLA in 2007, knocked down a Jake Locker pass on fourth-and-six at the BYU 26-yard line to preserve the win.

By the numbers

BYU did not surrender a sack or a turnover against Washington's defense. Quarterbacks Riley Nelson and Jake Heaps passed for 131 yards each.

Quotable

"A lot of people said it couldn't be done (playing two quarterbacks), but they did a phenomenal job."

-- BYU running back J.J. DiLuigi
