SARATOGA SPRINGS — A rollover accident on state Route 68 near 10000 North injured an adult and teen when they were thrown from their car near Saratoga Springs Saturday afternoon.
A 2-year-old boy who was not properly restrained also suffered injuries, although not as severe, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Steven Winward.
The accident happened about 1 p.m. when a Chevy Cavalier went out of control and rolled a couple times. A 16-year-old girl was flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in serious condition with head and back injuries.
A 21-year-old man ejected from the vehicle was treated at the Intermountain Health Care hospital in Riverton and later released. The toddler was also taken to IHC in Riverton for injuries and released.
A fourth passenger, a 17-year-old boy, was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Winward said officers are continuing to reconstruct more details of the accident.
