WEST VALLEY CITY — Identity theft used to lead to a lot of drug use, but one West Valley City woman just really wanted her nails done.
The woman, 26, has been charged in 3rd District Court with third-degree felony theft of services for allegedly failing to pay for her manicure.
On June 29, the woman went to a nail shop in West Valley and left a driver's license with her manicurist while she went to fetch $65 from the car.
Instead, she drove away, making her new nails twice as hot.
The woman who fled without paying has been charged with a third degree felony because she has been convicted of two prior thefts, charges state. She was also charged with unlawful possession of another's identification documents.
Police determined that the driver's license belonged to another woman, whose purse was stolen during a recent vehicle burglary, charging documents state.
