SALT LAKE CITY — One man was in critical condition early Saturday after being stabbed in the abdomen during an apparent gang fight, police said.
The fight broke out around 11:30 p.m. at the City Park Apartments, 800 N. 900 West, and involved between 10 and 20 people, said Salt Lake City Lt. Bryce Johnson.
At some point during the fight, one person pulled out a knife, another used a rock and someone else had a baseball bat, Johnson said.
The stabbing victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, and another victim, who was hit by the rock, had a serious head wound.
At least two suspects were in custody around 1 a.m., but had not been arrested, Johnson said.
Johnson said gang officers are investigating the case, but it's unclear how many of the people in the fight are gang members.
