LINDON — The drivers of two sport utility vehicles were taken to area hospitals after being ejected during a double rollover Friday.
The first SUV appeared to be speeding and weaving in and out of traffic Friday afternoon in a construction zone near Lindon, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Steve Winward.
The SUV clipped a minivan and another SUV, sending all three vehicles out of traffic. The two SUVs rolled over, ejecting their drivers.
The driver of the first SUV was sent by medical helicopter to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray with broken legs and compound fractures.
The driver of the second SUV was sent by ambulance in critical condition to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
It appeared to troopers that neither driver was wearing a seat belt, Winward said.
KSL reported that the crashes snarled the evening commute.
