Dance auditions in Utah

The Odyssey Dance Theatre will hold auditions for young dancers to participate in their annual Halloween performance of "Thriller."

All auditions will be held at the Pointe Performing Arts Academy, 10981 N. 5600 West, Highland.

Auditions for dancers ages 9-13 will be held Sept. 10, 4-7 p.m. The dancers will be auditioning for the "Chucky" segment.

Dancers ages 14 and older will audition Sept.11, noon-3 p.m. Dancers should have at least a double pirouette and string jazz technique. They will be auditioning for the youth cast of "Lightning."

All dancers must come wearing jazz clothes (not baggy) and jazz shoes.

Casts will be selected for the following performances: Oct. 6-10 at Steiner's Egyptian Theater in Park City; Oct. 8-9 at the Val A. Browning Center, Weber State University, Ogden; Oct. 13-16, Covey Center for the Arts, Provo; Oct. 13-30, Kingsbury Hall, University of Utah; and Oct. 22-30, Tuacahn Amphitheatre, St. George.
