Checker is a 1-year-old domestic shorthaired cat. She is a very loving kitty that would do great in a low-key home that will give her time to adjust and let her ease into her new forever home. She is already trained to use her litter box and gets along wonderfully with cats. She has been at the shelter since May 5, so she is more than ready to be adopted. She is already spayed and her adoption is free.

Molly is a 1-year-old pit bull. She has been at the shelter since June 8 and is patiently awaiting her forever home. This lovebug is very sweet, energetic and curious.

She is also very smart and already knows how to sit, stay and lie down. And her favorite game is fetch. Her adoption fee also includes free training.

Those interested in adopting a pet can visit Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South, Salt Lake City, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, call 801-559-1100, or visit www.slcoanimalservices.org
