Ty Detmer, 1988-91: Detmer, from San Antonio, Texas, was a consensus All-American in 1990 and 1991, and won the Heisman Trophy in 1990 and finished third in voting in 1991. He won the Davey O'Brien Award twice, in 1990 and 1991. He was the career NCAA leader in passing efficiency (162.7) and set 94 NCAA records. In 46 games at BYU, he passed for 15,031 yards and 121 TDs, both are the third most in NCAA history and highest marks at BYU.
Detmer (6-foot) in 14 seasons in the NFL with Green Bay, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Cleveland, Detroit and Atlanta, threw for 6,351 yards and 32 TDs. He's currently a high school coach in Austin, Texas.
