ANTELOPE ISLAND — The Antelope Island Stampede will take place Friday through Sunday and feature live music, hot air balloons and kites.

Activities begin at 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Weather permitting, the hot air balloons will fly Saturday morning only, with kite flying taking place all three days. The iQuad professional kite flying team will provide demonstrations.

The cost is $10 per carload, which includes the Utah state park and causeway fee. Activities with a charge include a children's play area, a small train and a climbing wall.

The bring-your-own-chair event, formerly the Antelope Island Balloon and Kite Stampede, also will have food vendors. Fireworks Saturday night will be at the beach at White Rock Bay, visible from the Stampede area.

More than 21,000 people attended last year's event.
