DELLE, Tooele County — A 52-year-old Tooele man was transported by medical helicopter to University Hospital Sunday evening after he was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle.
About 4:30 p.m. the man was on a trail in the Delle ATV riding area when he approached a curve. "It appears he was just travelling a little too fast for the area and he was thrown from the side," said Fred Dennison, Tooele County Search and Rescue commander. "There was no damage to the ATV or markings to indicate he had rolled."
Paramedics were in the area, which is popular for recreation, when people approached them and told them a man needed help, Dennison said.
Paramedics stabilized the man. He was in critical condition when he was transported, Dennison said.
