HARRISON, N.J. — Thierry Henry scored his first MLS goal in the second half, helping the New York Red Bulls beat the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 on Saturday night.
Dane Richards, who had an assist on Henry's goal, scored late in the first half for the Red Bulls (11-7-4), who won for the third time in four matches and pulled four points behind first-place Columbus in the Eastern Conference.
The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for San Jose.
UNION 2, REVOLUTION 1: At Foxborough, Mass., Reserve midfielder Justin Mapp set up the tying goal in the 82nd minute and scored the winner in stoppage time as Philadelphia snapped a six-match winless streak.
Mapp set up reserve forward Jack McInerney for the tying score with a short chip into the penalty box area, then converted a feed from Sebastien LeToux for the Union's match-winner, a left-footed drive from 14 yards out.
Philadelphia (5-11-5) was 0-3-3 in its previous six matches and won for just the second time on the road this season.
New England (5-12-3) lost its third straight and has been outscored 8-2 during the skid.
FC DALLAS 0, CREW 0: At Columbus, Ohio, FC Dallas set an MLS record for going unbeaten on the road and extended its overall undefeated streak to 12.
Dallas (9-2-10) has gone 3-0-7 in its past 10 away matches to break the mark held by the Crew and Chicago Fire. FCD has seven wins and five ties in its past 12 games to move into third in the Western Conference.
Columbus (12-5-5) remains first in the East.
The Crew came closest to scoring in the 68th minute when a shot by Guillermo Barros Schelotto was cleared off the goal line by defender Zach Loyd.
RAPIDS 3, DYNAMO 0: At Commerce City, Colo., Jamie Smith scored his first goal of the season, part of Colorado's season-high output.
Conor Casey had a goal and two assists and Omar Cummings added a goal for Colorado (8-6-7).
Smith got his goal less than two minutes into the game. Cummings had his first goal in five matches and Casey his first in his last four games.
Goalkeeper Ian Joyce was hardly tested while making his first start of the season.
Houston (6-11-5 ) is 1-9-2 on the road.
WIZARDS 2, GALAXY 0: At Carson, Calif., Davy Arnaud and Jimmy Conrad scored to give Kansas City a victory.
