SALT LAKE CITY — Convergys Corp. will hold a job fair to fill more than 200 full-time seasonal positions at its Salt Lake call center. Potential workers can apply from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the Convergys contact center, 860 West LeVoy Drive in Taylorsville.
People who are hired will get five weeks of paid training and in their work, will provide customer service and sales support for a Convergys client in the health care industry through January, 2011. The jobs will pay $12.50 per hour.
Applicants also will need to get a Utah 240 Health License, However, Convergys will pay for a one-week course to help applicants get ready for the licensing exam.
The company is looking for sales experience, as well computer and keyboarding skills, and individuals who can work flexible hours. The firm does background checks, drug screens, and verifies employment and education histories.
