PROVO CANYON — A motorcyclist from Corinne was killed in a wreck with another car near Bridal Veil Falls Tuesday.

Officials say the biker, Westley N. Moore, 22, was riding with a 19-year-old woman weaving through eastbound traffic on state Route 189 up Provo Canyon around 3 p.m. As they were about to pass a passenger car in the left lane, he instead struck the rear corner, sending the motorcycle careening into the guardrail on the right.

The collision sent the female rider flying over the rail into the left lane on the westbound side of the road and the driver by the guardrail.

Moore was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital and later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The other rider, Paige C. Weber, of Layton, was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in serious condition with broken bones. She is expected to recover.

Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
