SALT LAKE CITY — Overstock.com Inc. on Tuesday launched Eziba.com, a private sale website featuring home decor products.

Tuesday's sale featured towels, strollers, stand mixers and leather beds. Upcoming sales include Luxe Versailles bedding, area rugs and laptop cases.

"These deals are scorching," said Eziba President Johnathon Johnson. "These deals are so good."

Shoppers with existing Overstock.com accounts can join Eziba.com using those accounts.

The Eziba name, inventory and customer information was acquired by Overstock.com five years ago after the original catalog company was forced to liquidate.

"We got the inventory at a steep discount, like we do all our products," said Johnson.

Keeping the Eziba name made sense for Utah-based Overstock.com because of its reputation for international crafts, he said.

Products will be offered starting each 11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time each day and will last between 48 and 72 hours, according to the company. Eziba.com is not accessible through the Overstock.com home page, but customers can visit Eziba.com to sign up free of charge. Each order ships for $2.95.
