PROVO — A Springville man was arrested on suspicion of theft after police said he left receipts with his name on them at the crime scene.
On July 17, police responded to a storage shed at 2000 West and 4600 South that had been burglarized, according to a report filed Monday in 4th District Court. The shed had been forced open and the lock damaged, and the owner reported a blue air storage tank and a red air compressor missing.
On July 30, police responded to another shed burglary, at 4308 South 3200 West. The owner there reported two horse saddles were missing, according to the report.
On Aug. 11, police came back to the second shed for another burglary. This time, a trolling motor, 5000-watt generator, acoustic guitar and a floor jack were reported missing. However, the shed owner also showed police a blue air tank and a red air compressor found on the property, according to court documents. Police also found several pawn slips on the property, for items pawned by the Springville man.
Police booked the man, 20, into jail while they investigate the burglary.
