NORTH SALT LAKE — An Arizona family was injured during a rollover crash Saturday morning.
The father, who was driving, had turned to tell his 13-year-old daughter to buckle up and then drifted off the U.S. 89 collector to I-15 near the Davis County-Salt Lake County line.
The driver then overcorrected, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol, and the pickup rolled over. The 13-year-old was ejected about 30 feet, and the mother, who was the front passenger, had to be extricated from the truck.
The crash happened at 10:21 a.m.
An air ambulance was called for the girl, who was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center. The parents were taken by ground ambulance to University Hospital.
The girl and mother were in critical condition, said UHP Sgt. Greg Lundell.
