PROVO — The waiver appeal to the NCAA filed by BYU on behalf of linebacker Uona Kaveinga has been denied, coach Bronco Mendenhall announced Thursday night.
The junior linebacker will not be eligible to play in 2010 and will redshirt. Kaveinga will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2011.
