LINDON — The city's aquatic center will be afloat with thousands of yellow bath toys at 11 a.m. Saturday during the annual Rubber Ducky Derby.
Sponsored by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the derby will feature between 15,000 and 20,000 rubber duckies, which will be raced in heats down the Lazy River at the Lindon Aquatics Center, 100 N. State. The sponsor of the winning ducky will win a $15,000 credit toward a car from Mark Miller Auto Group.
Community members are invited to sponsor a rubber ducky for $5. Each sponsor will get one free admission to the aquatics center. Proceeds from the derby will be used to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
