ROY — An extension of Hinckley Drive between Roy and West Haven opened to traffic Monday.
The Utah Department of Transportation said the extension, also known as state Road 79, cost $20.7 million. The mile-long project extends Hinckley Drive from 1900 West (state Route 126) to 3600 South Midland Drive (state Route 108).
This month, crews will complete shoulder work and other details on the extension.
Construction began last fall, more than eight years after the project was proposed.
