BLUFFDALE — After a two-hour standoff with a man believed to be barricaded inside his workshop, police entered the building Friday evening to find the man had somehow escaped.
Police were still looking for 52-year-old Ed Park at about 9 p.m., said Bluffdale Police Cpl. Aaron Rosen.
An officer watched Park walk inside the workshop at about 3 p.m., Rosen said. Park, who has an open domestic violence case, has been court-ordered to stay away from a home near 3000 W. Vera Lane (14700 South).
"We still think he's in the area," Rosen said. "We're just trying to advise the public we do consider him a risk, but we don't know if he has any weapons. We found his vehicle near the site in a field. It contained two loaded rifles and various ammunition."
