GARLAND, Box Elder County — The Box Elder County Economic Development Summit is set for Friday at the Utah State University location in Brigham City.
The summit's theme is "Taking Action," and the event's primary goal is to develop an action plan to stimulate job growth in the county, according to organizers. The secondary goal is to educate people on the process for creating job growth and the unique strengths and resources available in the county.
Among those scheduled to speak are Sen. Orrin Hatch and Rep. Rob Bishop, both R-Utah, and Gov. Gary Herbert or one of his staff members, state and local economic development specialists and leaders from business, industry, government and education.
