PARK CITY — One of the world's most spectacular pools can be found in Park City.
Architectural Digest's August list, featuring pools from Thailand, France, Hawaii and Hong Kong, ranks the indoor 25-meter lap pool of Dennis and Vicki Farrar as one of the world's top 12 pools.
Designed by architect Peter Bohlin, the home was featured in the October 2006 edition of the magazine. The piece, titled "Intersection With Nature," praised Bohlin for creating a 12,000-square-foot modern house in a 13-acre mountain setting. Vicki Farrar said the pool is one of the defining features of the house.
The pool is encased in full-length glass and stainless-steel ceiling panels. It towers over a seasonal stream on the north-end. An acrylic floor-to-ceiling panel reflects the trees and sky.
"The light comes in like shards, almost rainbow colors," Vicki Farrar told the magazine, "different every day and every part of the day."
