Day 5: The Utes practiced in full gear for the first time after completing the NCAA-mandated acclimatization period. The offense responded from a subpar showing Monday to get the better of the defense in second- and third-down drills.
Standouts: Utah coach Kyle Whittingham singled out wide receiver DeVonte Christopher and defensive tackle Sealver Siliga. He also said the linebackers "continue to perform well."
Injuries: Whittingham said "nothing of note" in Tuesday's practice.
Next up: The Utes have their first two-a-day today. A morning session is set for Rice-Eccles Stadium, and a late afternoon practice is scheduled for the baseball field. Both are closed to the public.
