EAGLE MOUNTAIN — New utility rates will have Eagle Mountain residents paying more for some services and less for others this year.
Residents in The Ranches and SilverLake developments also will pay an additional $4.50 per month for sewage treatment after the Timpanogos Special Service District, which treats solid waste from north Eagle Mountain, raised its monthly fee to $38.
The city has added a monthly, citywide fee of $3 per home for storm drain maintenance. That fee is balanced out by a $1 reduction in the city's electric base rate and a $2 reduction in the sewer base rate for all residents.
A tiered water rate has been introduced for commercial and institutional utility customers in Eagle Mountain. For more information, visit www.eaglemountaincity.org.
