SANDY — A grassfire Sunday evening scorched about 10 acres and caused the evacuation of a nearby dog park before firefighters were able to squelch the flames.
Sandy Fire Department Battalion Chief Toby Kerby said crews contained the blaze near 9900 South and 300 East within about 15 minutes of their arrival just after 8 p.m. Sunday.
No one was injured in the fire and a cause had not yet been determined.
