I really appreciated Chris Hicks' column in the Deseret News on July 30. There definitely is too much sex and raunchiness on television now. My husband and I find only a few shows worth watching, like Hallmark or PBS. We wait all week for Saturdays and "Lark Rise to Candleford" on KUED. I wish we could have something similar every night. We are disgusted with most everything else. I think the biggest percentage of viewers are like us and like Hicks — they desire decent programming. Surely something can be done to clean up the screen, and I don't mean Windex.
