CORINNE, Box Elder County — A Corinne man sustained serious injuries to his leg when he tried to jump onto a moving train early Thursday morning.
Jeremiah Bosley, 31, was walking with a friend near state Route 13 and 4020 West just before 1 a.m. when he tried to jump onto the train car, said Box Elder County Sheriff's Department chief deputy Kevin Potter.
When Bosley slipped and fell, the train ran over his legs, nearly severing his left leg and injuring his right leg, the said.
Potter said the friend called for help and Bosley was flown by medical helicopter in critical condition to McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden.
Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the accident and are awaiting blood test results.
